中田 勉We received the most prestige award in the Japanese manufacturing industry, the Okochi Memorial Grand Production Prize, in March 2010. I deeply thank you for years of your support. As we enter the year 2012, I would like to promise our continuing service for our customers in the world with our latest experiences gained in recent years.

NAKATA entered the cold roll forming industry in 1959 and developed many new technologies. We are particularly proud of FFX Mill, the only kind in the industry that introduced the complete common-use rolls combined with the NC system supported by our proprietary FEM technology. Our mills promise the top quality performance and production of high grade tubes. Everyday we work hard to invent new technologies and to maintain trust from our customers.

History

1908 Founded in the city of Kobe, Japan.
1910 Certified as a supplier for West Japan National Railways.
1959 Entered the cold roll forming business.
1983 Development of FFX Mill won the Technology Development Prize from Japan Society for Technology of Plasticity. Started presenting at international technology conferences and international trade shows.
1991 Development of laser welded extremely small gauge pipes won a prize from Japan Society for Technology of Plasticity. Won the Mitsui Precision Technology Prize. Founded Technology and Development (T&D) Center within the company.
1993 Initiated development of FEM analysis technology  
1996 Developed RLC Flying Cut-off Machines (with circular tipped saw).
1998 Production of FF Mills won a prize from Japan Society of Technology for Plasticity. Won an Aida Technology Prize. Developed 3D elasticity FEM techniques. Completed the first FFX Mill, and succeeded its installation followed by uneventful launch.
2002 Development of the FFX mill won a prize from the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry for its high performance in ERW pipe production.
2005 Developed Roll Box, a common-use roll forming mill for square tube production.
2007 Celebrated the 100th year anniversary and moved the headquarters and the plant to Yodogawa-ku, Osaka.
2008 Delivered a 25" API mill plant in Russia
2009 Inherited pipe mill business from Mitsubishi-Hitachi Metals Machinery, Inc.
2010 Won the Okochi Memorial Grand Production Prize for FFX Mill development and production.
API Mill put into commercial operation in Russia & U.S.A.
Development of New Forming Mill (ODF)
2011 Establishment of joint venture company in Korea.
Representative office in U.S.A. has been opened.
New technology introduction in "YOKOHAMA TUBE& PIPE 2011 in OSAKA".

Prizes awarded

The Okochi Memorial Grand Production Prize was awarded, for FFX Mill. 2010
Various awards received from Japan Society for Technology of Plasticity. A prize of Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, Japan was awarded in 2002.
